We hit a nasty, nasty, NASTY bump as we were leaving Fond du Lac, WI and didn't experience any problems until just a week or so ago.
I hooked up to water faucet down by the lake and everything worked just fine. Filled fresh water tank, etc. Everything OK.
Moved to a different site and now gages, black & grey, don't read correctly.
Could something come loose in less than an eighth of a mile?
Wonder if this is related to my just previous post?
Check where the sensors are taped to the tank itself, maybe something came loose.
Not my RV, and so it is easy for me to say, not a problem, this is an opportunity to learn. I remember Mr Guy, high school chemistry. First day of class he explained everything we had to measure with, then proceeded to take all away, saying we would not be using any of these for this class. We had to start out creating our own measurement system for liquid, length, temperature, etc. One of three classes I remember all the way thru high school. I've used this lesson for over 57 yrs. Something came loose, sensor tape, wire, you will find it. Also you can do a search for "tank levels" and posibly find another answere. If all that fails, buy a new tank monitoring system, or create your own new system. My first system was, "honey, tell me if you see water coming back thru the shower drain," yes she ended that system. Please post to us what you find.
Well ... we never wanted to rely on our tank sensors too much. Even though they worked, one was off by about ΒΌ tank, I think. We finally got smart and ran off our own fresh water tank exclusively. When that needed to be refilled, it was time to empty the tanks. That system works well, until your monitors are up and running again.
But you already know this!
The internal tank level sensors on our rigs (ours is a 91 ORED) get fouled very easily and about all you can do is flush them alot. The grey tank is the hardest to get clean once it gets fouled. Grease and oil from the kitchen sink are probably the bad guys. I dump a couple gallons of white vinegar into ours and fill it to one notch above where it shows when empty and let it set over night before draining. That takes care of it most of the time. The black tank I do the same thing only use a large jug of dish washer soap. Before leaving a campsite, flush tanks and leave some treated water in the tanks to slop around as you move down the road. One of these fine days I plan to install an external monitoring sys. Have a great day ---- Fritz
You also might check where the wire harness plugs onto the monitor panel. It might have worked loose. Maybe unplug it and plug it back on could have a little corrosion on the pins.
