I have two working entry door keys but I'd like a third one to hide. I called FT and they gave me the Trimark code for the key and said that any Mul-T-Lock dealer (Armstrong Locks in Central Florida) could cut a new one. Not true, both of the Florida dealers said -nope-.
Does anyone have a source for them? I can send them one of my working keys to cut it along with the 5-digit code that I think they'll need.
The key to my 1998 U320 is their 'classic 06' design that is 'non-interactive'.
Steven, you may try Armstrong on Mills ave. You may have talked to them, but sometimes a visit is worth a thousand words. I was fleet/property manager for a large company in the area for years they took care of about any lock/key issues.
I visited them twice, bringing in my key the second time. Nope. They only had blanks for the newer 'interactive' keys.
I just went to a local locksmith (AR) and had several keys made from a copy of my working one. ...several years ago. All still work fine. Have them on both ends of the road....just in case 🙄 But, we may not be thinking about the same lock, on the door.
Why not go to any local key shop to have them duplicate your key?
The entry locks that FT used and the key blanks are proprietary to Mull-T-Lock dealers. Most locksmiths do not have the machinery to cut the dimples nor the blanks for these keys. Note in the photo that it has cone-shaped dimples, not conventional grooves/cuts in them.
Sorry about my comment about key shop. I never saw the posted photo of the key.
TriMark still sells direct, I assume. We bought our new outside grab bar and door handle mechanism direct from TriMark.
