Almost embarrassed to ask this one.
On occasion, I'm hearing what sounds like a fan cycling on and off in the basement, but I cant locate where the sound is coming from. In the first compartment aft of the entrance, on the wall towards the front of the coach is a grill and it appears that the sound is coming from there. Going to the drivers side, if I open the compartment just aft of the generator I can clearly hear the "fan" sound. Its almost like the sound is coming from under the steps, but I'm having a hard time locating it.
That is the location (under the steps) where on our '92 the converter/inverter was located. It had a fan that was temp. controlled

Correct. OE was a converter in that location.
Look in from the driver's side, next compartment aft of the generator. It will be on the passenger's side of the basement.
All I can see there is storage.
Is the fan adjustable? Does it need to be adjusted or am I concerned over nothing?
Edit: This was posted after Brett responded. I'll take a better look soon.
Just make sure that you don't pile stuff in front of it that restricts air circulation.
It is automatic and needs nothing done to it (again ASSUMING this is the OE converter).
Here's a photo of the converter on a 93 225. The view is looking into the storage compartment from the driver side. The red arrow points to the stock converter and the yellow the the back of the entry steps.

I think that's a picture of my coach; once owned by JOR.

Ok, thats what it is - converter/charger but no inverter and plugged into the outlet right above it.
That begs the question, why did they place it so far away from the battery compartment?
