Title: 1995 U-240 Leveling system
Post by: POPPASMURFF#1 on February 16, 2018, 03:16:33 pm
Well when the fuel issue came up, I decided to raise the front of the coach to make it level to see if that would help.

BINGO the leveling system said NO NO NO . Pushed the start button nothing.

Up until this point the leveling system has worked fine.

Checked the breakers in the panel and had 12.7 volts on both the in and out.

Checked 1 fuse by the pump and it was good.

Now they show a module panel with several fuses that I would like to check BUT does anyone know where this module is located?

Any help would be appreciated.

GOD BLESS and safe travels

What HWH series leveling system do you have?  I assume it has hydraulic jacks?  See link below to identify your system:

Is it possible you turned rv off while it was in Drive or R.  I've had customers do that with similar issues.

In our '95, the HWH control box is under the couch.

Yep well hid, the controller is under the couch.

Had a 5 amp fuse that was blown changed it and still nothing.

The panel does not even light up, like its not getting power.

Checked the 2 breaker associated with it. The are hot on both sides.

Any idea where to go from here.

A week ago, in Reply #2, I asked what HWH Series you have.  You have never responded.

Do you have the Owner's Manual for your system?  If so, does it have a "Trouble Shooting" section?  If so, have you followed all the steps?

HWH writes pretty good manuals.  If the "Trouble Shooting" steps fail to identify/resolve the problem, usually a call to HWH is your last resort.

Leveling system.

Folks let me tell you. If all the companies we deal with to keep our coaches puttering on down the highway were like the folks at HWH leveling systems we would never have a care in the world.

I contacted them off their face book site. Within an hour or so I had a response and was notified that I would be contacted by a representative. WELL, we all have heard that ole story more than once I am sure.

Sure enough in about an hour, I received and E-mail from a Mr. Joe Portelli asking what the problem was.

I explained the issue I was having and he said ok this is how we are going to start. He gave me a task to perform with the system and when I had completed it with no good results, he said ok here's step two, and he kept adding things to try 1 at a time.

Over a period of 4 days, as he and I both had other fist to fry, we ferreted out the issue, the key pad was kaput.

Now this man spent several hours with me over several days.

All I can say it HWH does have a great service after the sale.

I'm amazed.  We've all seen the stories of HWH taking days to respond to a phone call asking for technical help.  Maybe FB is the answer.  Worth a try.

Oh I guess I forgot to mention the fact that I called several times in a space of an hour and kept getting put on hold.

You are correct phone calls stink.

I think the FB page is monitored by someone who has STROKE better known as a BOSS
