I replaced the fuel filter system in our 2003 U320 with a Davco unit last year. Is there any value in the old unit or should I just send it to the trash?

1st, I'm still running the stock fuel filter system. Should I add to my planned to do list replacing this? If so, what is the reason, and with what replacement?
2nd, if no hurry on replacing the stock system, should I seek spare parts for the OEM system? Which OEM parts should I consider adding to a backup/ fail safe parts list?
Ed, which davco did you use. Why did you change?

I installed a Davco 382. When I bought the coach and had my post purchase inspection done in Texas it was suggested I replace the OEM system. I have since seen many people say the original system is just fine. I do continue to use the filter along side the engine block. The big reason I like the Davco is that you can visibly see when the filter needs to be changed.
I will scrap the OEM system within the next week or so in that we are set to close on our house March 8th and I need to get rid of the extras. We will be Fulltimers by the end of March.
