Title: Back up camera showing "no signal"

OEM camera was replaced by PO about a year ago and has been working fine but today when I turned on the monitor to check the tank levels the rear view camera is showing "no signal".  It is the Voyager system and the camera is wireless.  Everything seems to be in order connection wise but no picture.  Any one have any thoughts on this?

Check camera for power. Batteries or connections.

Are you in the right input mode on the monitor? Personally I have had lots of issues with wireless camera's. If you can convert it to wired I would

Mine gets a great picture only when the antennas can see each other.  I f I close the door to the camera the picture is less good.

My  "Tadi Brothers"  wireless rear view ocassionally loses the picture. I have to go thru the "pairing" process to restore connectivity. Once that's done, it works fine

I had the same excellent wireless "Voyager" back up camera in my previous rv.  I never had consistent good results either until I corrected the always under 12V connection.  Voyager recommended connecting to 12v from the rear DOT clearance lights.  This did not work.  Not until after replacing the rear DOT lights with LED and running a separate 12V source connection and improved ground did I receive consistent results from camera.

The wires for the old wired camera are most likely still in place,see if your camera can be wired also.If not the solution may be to
just get a wired camera and an adaptor to get a picture.

Thank you one and all.  I will try the pairing first, makes sense, don't know why I didn't think about it but it must be one of those "forest for the trees" type of deals.  Really do not want to replace with wire unit.  Unit in there now is new and was a replacement for the OEM unit that failed.  Also a good thought on the clean 12v supply for the power source for the rear camera.  Not sure if it is a wide spread problem but several of the FT's that I have experience with, including my own, are famous for bad connections on the clearance lights front and rear.  Once you think you have them fixed one will go out again.  Think it is time to r and r with LED's.

Reading post #5 indicating the requirement for 12 volts it sounds like the same problem with the Javalina monitor's need for 12 volts. The Javalina power supply takes what ever voltage it gets from the coach, adds 5 volts then regulates it down to the required 12 volts.
With all the Javalina systems that have been remove there must be some of those power supplies around. It wouldn't take much to add one to power the rear camera.
Would be less work than some other options.
