Title: Rear slide inoperable??
Post by: TLandon on March 01, 2018, 12:59:55 pm
Hi All,

Curious if anyone has suggestions to cure inoperable rear wardrobe slide issue?  Turn the key for rear slide and the indicator lights flashes indefinitely.  The bladder appears empty and fully retracted, but won't allow slide to operate.  I check underneath and it appears as though the HWH rear slide vacuum just continues to vacuum.  After 30 seconds or so the auxiliary compressor comes on.  Hopefully it's a switch or something I'm not aware of.

Once I turn the control key back to off, the bladder reinflates just fine, but no movement of slide.

"NOTE: The room is equipped with an air seal, the air seal is monitored by a vacuum switch to make sure the air seal is deflated. This may cause a delay in room operation when the Room Control switch is pushed. While the Room Control Switch is being pushed a loss of vacuum in the air seal will not halt the movement of the room unless the Room Control switch is released. The Room Control switch will not work until the vacuum switch is made."
Switch is on bottom of each slide manifold, might check its operation.

Thank you much Jim,

I swapped the front switch to the rear manifold, and as you suggested the rear switch was not "switching".  Time for a new rear switch.  Thank you for your help!

Would like to see a photo of that switch and how it looks on the slide manifold if possible.
Thanks, Dick

Dick. if he doesn't post pic., easy to identify. Look at either slide manifold block and you will see one fitting on bottom of the block with the pressure [vacuum] switch on it. It has two wires coming off of it.
