Title: Genwizard Fault Light
Post by: Want2rv on March 03, 2018, 09:02:19 am
I set my Powertech 8KW generator on auto start. When it started, I manually turned it off, not being aware that it needs to run at least 30 minutes. The fault light is on and I understand to turn it off the I need to toggle the switch on the Genwizard module to the stop position. My problem is I don't know where this module is located and what it looks like.
Can anyone please direct me to its location? Thanks!

Just a guess ( don't know genwizard) but try turning the toggle switch off at the front of generator control panel that should re set everything.

I exercised all of the switches on the front of the unit, no luck!

Can you post a photo of the generator control box, this will help to determine if you have a gen wizard or an es52 start system.

Gen wizards were problematic and normally removed

My Black Foretravel manual lists it as a Genwizard.

Your coach may be different, but on my 99 was located under dash mounted on aft wall of dash [facing back down the center of coach] it was silver and black and about 4x4x2 and several sets of wires coming from it. Lift center dash and look straight down.

Open the top of the dash and, trace the wires from the start stop switch on the dash, it should lead you to the module, if the module is bad, you will to replace it with another unit.I don't think that the Gen Wizard is made any longer.

No luck finding the control box under the dash, there was a wiper control box and the remote CB radio module there.
I can't trace the wires from the switch since it is located above the windshield in front of the driver.
I have owned this magnificent machine for less than a month now!
Thanks for the help.

I thought the genwizard was in the front drivers side compartment?  Mine is gone,  I can see were it was

The switch might have been moved, here is a picture of my 97 U-270

Caflashbob, you were correct. Thank you!
The box is located in the front, driver's side compartment.

Our build #5132 has no auto position on the gen start and no evidence of a large box for the gen wizard.  Apparently left out of our coach new

The magnum system I am slowly assembling has a auto gen start module ME-AGS-N that works though the remote panel ME-ARC and the inverter.

Or so it's says.
