I am looking for a replacement Accumulator Tank for my 97 U-270. All the metal ones I find appear to be 12" long but my tank only measures about 9" long and 7 1/2 tall.
Does anyone know of a source for these, I have searched a lot and folks say the replace them but no current links to what they got.
Anyone have any ideas where I can find the same metal tanks?
Thanks
Upgraded my water pump to the new model, talked to Shur-flo and was assured by their tech dept you do not need the tank
with the new pump, have been using the coach for a year and a half that way no problems.
Thanks John, do you remember which put you got?
I am going to have to order some shure-flo parts for SIL's trailer so maybe I could get everything at once?
How about this tank?

John Morales (forum member) bought one of these about a year ago.
Water Pump Accumulator Tank (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=30068).
Shurflo 4008 or 4048 water pump.
Shurflo 182-200 or similar accumulator, if you still want one with 4008 / 4048.
Get rid of metal large accumulator, they can hold germs, etc.
Thanks Chuck, I cant tell if it has a fitting on both ends or not, I will send them a message.
Steve,
The end you can't see has the air fitting where you hook up a bicycle tire pump to get the pressure you need on the back side of the diaphragm. We have used the PWP brand like this before but not from this supplier.

Thanks Barry, I know this tank is shot and I am unsure about sanitizing because I dont know if I can get the back side of the diaphragm cleaned.
Thanks, that is what I was wondering about, how to ensure there was pressure on the back side.
The back side of the diaphragm isn't accessible. If water comes out the air cock the tank is junk. The back side of diaphragm is sealed so no way to sanitize. The water side gets fresh water every use so if you are using sanitized water it gets some sanitizing every use.

I added a new one found at Home Depot for $39.00, because the previous owner took it out. I didn't like the way it functioned. I upgraded to the newer higher pressure surflo, it was awful. So I took the tank out. It works awesome now. As good as pressure or better then most city hookups
Thanks Mike, I know it is ruptured as I get water out the Schroeder valve. If I did want to leave it like that I dont think I can sanitize it very good, so it needs a new tank. :(
Thanks for the info gracerace I'll keep it in mind, so far my pump is working OK or at least until I put a new tank in it
Check home Depot for a thermal expansion tank exactly the same thing as a diaphragm accumulator tank. About $35
Thanks OPP, I prefer local if I can
