Title: Twin 1997 U270s Spotted at Death Valley
Post by: Tim on March 16, 2018, 10:42:24 am
While camping at Death Valley's Furnace Creek campground called Texas Springs, I couldn't believe my eyes. Below is a photo of my "twin sister" 1997 U270. The owner, Francis, and I hit it off and we gave each other a tour of our rigs. His was a 36 ft and mine is a 34 ft. Same fading decals outside, big difference inside.

Francis, if you see this post, please reply.

Nice video Tim.  Noticed that you have removed the head knocker TV cabinet above the steering wheel.  I did that too and used graffiti remover to get rid of the black overspray on the ceiling.  Bought it at Lowes  or HD in a spray  bottle.

Yes, that overspray and the refurbishment of the front area is a work in progress. Foretravel sprayed the fabric also, which will have to be replaced. Anyone know where identical fabric can be purchased?

I replaced all the pool fence out there a few years ago ... in the SUMMER!!!! Hottest place I have ever been.. something about under sea level heat.. Unreal. I went to measure it but my guys had to work in it.. Terrible heat in the summer and it was packed with Foreigners.

Tim, you might look at a material called hull liner material to match your headliner material. Should be able to get it at a marine store.
