My generator shut down and indicated high temperature. Oil clean, radiator full. No visible obstruction in radiator fins. Belt felt a little loose. What does it take to tighten belt on 1998 u270 with 8k generator? Also noticed aging of rubber isolator on radiator mount. Source for them? 700 hours on generator.
These are the mounts on my generator radiator.
Neoprene Compression Mount: Style B, 3/8-16 Threads, Hole Diameter |... (http://www.essentracomponents.com/en-us/feet-casters-glides/vibration-mounts-accessories/neoprene-compression-mounts/neoprene-compression-mounts-us-p100480/kr-60-1)
You need an automotive type stud to screw into the mount. I used red thread locker to hold them in the mount. Also make sure they are not too long. They screw into the bottom of the radiator and can bottom out touching the radiator causing a leak.
As far as the belt goes there is a bolt going trough the idler that needs to be loosened and then there is a jack screw for tightening the belt. Then you re-tighten the pulley bolt. To gain access you may need to remove some of the fan shroud.

8kw Power Tech generators have their radiator mounted at the generator, and the radiator's two small rubber mounts have a story to tell, that you may be interested in reading...
Bottom line for us is old broken mounts are good, new solid rubber mounts damaged the radiator.
Here are three Forum links about our radiator problem:

Six years on my mounts and they are fine but then again I did isolate the radiator from the engine vibration. But that is a whole other story as we all know.

Update on generator overheat: Tightened fan belt and generator ran for 45 minutes without overheating with duotherm heat strip running. Checked the water pump outlet with infrared thermometer and stayed well within normal. I had to take off the fan protector that faces outside, also had to remove sound cover on bottom of generator enclosure to access idler pully mount and bracket. Adjustment made from underneath generator with generator pulled out on tray. Before adjustment could turn fan by hand.
