The dimmer switch will work on bright but not on dim, you can see where the plastic mechanism is cracked.

See if Foretravel has a PN. They may refer you to the maker of the steering column:
Douglas Auto Tech, Bronson MI. (Steering column) 800 773-1440
Be aware that this contact info is 12 years old, so may need to search for them.
But, that steering column was use in a number of OTR trucks, so a truck repair facility may be another option.
I replaced mine. Easy to remove. Went to a local car quest auto store and with there help replaced it. I think its a GM part. Went back in and it works great.
What steps did you take to remove it. Was it hard to disassembly and replace? Sorry for all the questions but I am on a job in Texas and getting all the info I can before I head back to MS in a couple weeks.
Thanks in advance.

First pull the light sw knob out like your turning lights on. Next from behind dash on the sw is a small button. Push down on the button which should release the knob. Then unplug wires from sw. The sw should then have a nut to undo and you should be good to go.
The original post was about a dimmer switch not the headlight switch.
I'm confused here - what "dimmer" is being discussed? I thought it was the headlight dimmer (high/low beam switch on the turn signal stalk) that was inoperative. But now it sounds like the instrument panel light dimmer (on the light switch) is the problem. Which is it?
Originally said high beam and low beam so sounds like dimmer switch for the headlights.
