Title: Cheap ice coolers
Post by: Old phart phred on April 27, 2018, 11:12:51 pm
There are some yeti equivalent ice coolers out there. One source is a salt water aqaurium store, they ship exotic very expensive fish alive halfway across the world in air freight. These small coolers are very good and cheap if not free. Just ask.

I'm confused Phred. Why would you need to cool ice? 🙂

I hear some NRA types are blowing up their coolers using tannerite.
Might be able to get good prices on used units.  :D

D....... I just bought a YETI cup, guess I will have to take it to the range and use as target.  $30 target ? Maybe not.

Dunno it's a Kansas thing, but we don't have hot water heaters.

I stand corrected. We do have for Revenue and job security issues, if it's over 80 gallons, or 199 MBH, it's a hot water supply boiler and subject to a yearly$50 inspection fee.

FYI, last summer I was working outside in 90-105 degree temperatures. I had an expensive 250 dollar Cordova cooler, my son had a high end 25.00 Coleman. When I say high end that means he didn't buy it on sale! The Coleman held ice 2 days longer than my 250 dollar cooler. I still got the better deal mine was on sale, HA! Also, for what it's worth, instructions say to keep cooler full (no air space) and to keep from opening as much as possible. That's hard to do on a hot day.

Yep, I'm the dufus wearing the $7 sunglasses (BTW I have not owned sunglasses for 38 years, but bought some for the 1400 mile eastbound trip). Never felt I had to be Kool and trendy.

OPP is always shaking, medical condition since birth. Cold temps just make it worse. Good/bad news is I can eat 3000 calories a day and never gain a pound. Not so much for others,  may well shorten my lifespan. Who knows, and it is what it is. No regrets. way more fortunate than others.
