So, I have been following this Couple, who started out in a Motorhome, and did very interesting Techie Type Vids for them, and are now doing it for their Catamaran Sailboat they now have! Anyway, I came across some interesting stuff, through the years, that they offered up as good advice on many Issues! To get the code go to their Link in their Website @https://www.gonewiththewynns.com/air-conditioning-sailboat and use ****Code**** GWTW
OR, go directly to the site @ EasyStart 364 (3-ton) Single Phase Soft Starter for Air Conditioners |... (https://www.microair.net/products/easystart-364-3-ton-single-phase-soft-starter-for-air-conditioners?variant=30176048267) .....and plug that code in!
They explain how it worked for them, pretty dramatic, and I am sure there are Many who use these "Soft Starters" Especially if you are using Solar, and Off the Grid! Go to ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjK1Gi_u6ss
Note, I also saw this on the Website, for those of you who have Installed the AC ONLY Type Refrigerators, it MAY (?) work???
"Will EasyStart work with my refrigerator?
Possibly. The compressor must equalize the pressures within the 5-minute restart window. This may require installing an expansion valve with equalization some systems"
I bought 2 of them 2 months ago and they are sitting in a box for when I have time to install. Used the same discount code. Thanks for the update
They do work. Installed one on my fwd air conditioner. Can run one, air con [no charger or electric fridge] on 15 amp extension cord and 2 air cons on 30 amp plug. By watching my amprobe, it appears to ramp up compressor speed, because amps do not appear to go over 14 at any time.
