Hi all- we are Chris and Amber Hogan from southern Missouri. My wife Amber and I are foster parents and I am a dabbler in restoration of 40s-60s era Fords. We have a small group of acres here and have plans to enjoy our great country after doing some work to our 92 U280 GV- as our work schedule allows! I have been a Foretravel fan since checking out some GVs outside of Knoxville TN in the early 90s. The one Amber and I bought was discussed on the forum, 1992 U280 ,995 in Houston (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=32169.msg286734#msg286734)
And it is far from perfect, but had good care for most of its life. We made two trips to Houston to look at the rig, and tested coolant SCA content and pH, and I kept taking photos underneath , etc. Thanks to you all and the knowledge base here, I was able to check for some key bulkhead possible issues and have an idea what I was getting into before signing for the rig. The forum sealed the deal for me; a quality motor coach backed by a great group of folks dedicated to them. I look forward to asking many simple questions to you all- but I will search first- so far I've found many answers to questions quickly that way. It is a pleasure to be a part of the group, if y'all will have us. Thanks!
Welcome Chris and Amber,
"Searching first" will quickly endear you to the group - some of our members have
never developed that habit! ;)
Always happy to see another GV added to the team roster. We have quite a few owners of similar year/model coaches here - they will be happy to share their knowledge with you. The U280 is, in my unbiased opinion, one of the best of the older Foretravel designs. We've been very happy with ours - hope you will feel the same as you get acquainted with your new ride.
Photos, when you get the time, will be appreciated. We LIKE photos!
Congrats!! With good bone, Anything is possible..Make it happen!! ^.^d
Welcome to the family, lots of smart folks here in all aspects of Foretravel so don't be bashful ask away... ^.^d
Good for you Chris, you will like that rig and this forum.
Welcome. ^.^d
Welcome to the group. Hope to see you down the road. What part of S Missouri? We'll be in Memphis this fall then heading up through KC and then west.

Thanks all for the welcome- we live on the edge of the Mark Twain national forest, about 10 miles east of Salem, MO.
Welcome to the club.
Welcome to the forum. As you will see from some of my questions there are no stupid questions. We became new owners last September and on a steep learning curve. Lots of good info here.

Welcome to the forum.
"about 10 miles east of Salem, MO. "
I drove my '90 GV to Licking, and have parked it in a barn. Full timing. About 20 miles SW from Salem.
I'll be happy to visit with you. Good choice in coach.
Welcome.
I know your neck of the woods- lived south of Rolla 8 miles and 1 east for 5 years in a past life :) Beautiful country.
