I have a 1986 Grand Villa that has no rear tail lights, parking lights. I have been trying to find the wiring diagram for it for weeks with no luck. Does anyone have the diagram or can someone lead me to the correct place to find them?
Bad news. Your tail light system runs on printed circuit boards which are hard to find. They are 83-86 Isuzu Impulse tail lights as I recall and reversed, meaning the passenger side is upside down on the drivers side, etc.
Do you not have your big foretravel binder books chassis wiring diagrams are in those.
Take a test flight and see if you have power to the rear lights. If you have power back to the lamp in The Wire then the problem would be in the laimp. If you do not have power in the wire to the lamp then you could have a blown fuse or a circuit breaker trip. I wouldn't think that both tail light circuit boards would die at the same time usually one side and not the other but stranger things can happen
If you don't have the schematic then get hold of James Holder at Tennessee RV. I believe he has a 1984 Foretravel.
If you can't find a set of Isuzu Impulse tail light printed circuit boards then just mount a set of LED lights up above like I did.
If none of the tail lights work, odds are that you have a missing ground. There is a separate ground wire from the tail light to the frame some place back there.
Good news, I have the wiring diagram your looking for from my (built in 87 on 86 chassis) Grand Villa OREG. If you don't have 12v at the plug for the tail lights (driverside is the easiest to get to) and all your fuses are good (under the dash) start at the plug for the turn signal switch as everything go's though it. Check to see if you have 12v there. And check the ground wires at the lights too, White wire if I remember
Once you get it sorted out, get led bulbs to reduce the load and strain on circuit by 5x
