Title: Purge fuel system OEM
Post by: Michael & Jackie on July 07, 2018, 02:08:57 pm
How do you purge air from OEM fuel system on a 2000?

I have forgotten how to do that as our 2001 was converted.  I think the OEM was a Winn 20/20

There is a Schroeder valve on the OEM.  Do I recall correctly that I was told to have the engine running and push the valve or perhaps it was a way to run the fuel through with out cranking??

Thanks

Mike,

I expect someone with first hand information on the WINN system will chime in.

But, until they do, I would NOT suggest a running engine with Schroeder valve open-- that would allow air into the fuel system.  Quite likely that you activate the built in electric pump and open the valve until all the air is purged.

I will delete this post when someone with first hand info posts.

Brett think you have got it, jogs my memory of what Mr Risch instructed me when we had that system.  But await if others have alternative ideas before tell my Forum friend who asked me and Scott how to do this.
