Title: External air supply

I have an air chuck at the rear of the coach near the tow electrical plug I figure most of 96 270 are similar. I have no air to the chuck and have followed the line best I could the length of the coach to the front where the air tanks are and there is no valve to be seen to be opened for air supply.. Is there an electrical switch some where that opens a solenoid to supply air to the external chuck?

I've not heard of a electric solenoid valve in this application.  The air line for your tire filler air connection usually comes directly off the wet tank.  Look for the wet tank in the vicinity of the rear axle, possibly tucked up high where it is hard to see unless you crawl under the coach.  Might be a (mechanical) shutoff valve on the air line there.

Could that be for an air powered toad brake system?
Maybe put an air fitting in it and press your brakes to see if it releases air?

I have the same fitting and it is used for my toad brakes by M&R.
Operates from brake actuation.

ok..  I wasn't but 1 mile off base.. I will have external air in the near future.. On my 280 it came off my gast 110 air compressor but a different situation here.. Not a big add on but I wont waste anymore time with this air chuck as it is.. Thanks for the answers.

My stock air supply is right next to the fuel tank on the passenger side.

On my 97 270 there are two air chucks. One is on the rear wall of the wet bay on the driver's side and the other on the rear wall of the hot water heater bay on the passenger side. I removed the one from the pax side. Both came off of the wet tank which as Chuck mentioned is probably up high around the rear axle. You might already have the fittings on your wet tank.

It is connected to your air brake system and is used with an M&G brakeing system for a toad.
KenHat had a recent post about te connection point.

Did you remove the air chuck to see if line is open?

Sorry Barry, I've been gone for a week... I plugged an air line into it and it didn't charge the line.. I will likely find a chuck in one of the places mentioned above.. Thanks all.

Did you step on the brakes while the chuck was in?

Didn't step on the brake, I was looking for an constant air supply.
