Title: BedroomSlide
Post by: SEW on July 11, 2018, 08:31:40 pm
I'm putting this in Tech Talk for opinions....hopefully I have someone coming tomorrow to take a look and  fix...or order parts!

Bedroom slide indicated all systems go...and nothing in the way outside or inside... so activated the extend and within seconds sounded like a lot of wood being broken ...needless to say I halted everything.  Can't find any broken wood, however slide is definitely not functioning.  As stated above hopefully I will know something tomorrow.  I'm in RV Park in isolated part of Massachusetts.  So much for the Brimfield Flea Market.

You can check if your bose radio in the bedroom might have slid forward or something else on that night stand beside the bed and is stuck between the wall and the edge of the slideout.

Thanks....I've checked all around and can't find anything in the way or stuck.  It was almost like above the cabinets was stuck and the wall kinda angled from the top and the bottom moved out first.

My water bottles end up under the slide every now and then..soon as I hear the crunch.. I look under it and find one...

The whole face comes off (trim). So you can see around it..

Do you have a Zipdee awning over the slide window or slide topper?  The spring might be stuck.
I had that happen on my Newell, the bedroom slide actually jumped up a bit while extending.  I carefully drilled a couple 1/4" holes in the awning tube and sprayed lubricant into it to loosen the spring.  Also check where the awning arms attach to the side skin, on mine the rivets partially pulled out.

This sounds like the upper locking pins didn't retract prior to movement.

Call MOT and ask for Tech Support (Aubry) today if you need someone to talk you through the troubleshooting. They will likely help out even if you did not purchase the coach from them

Good Luck getting going.
