We own 2 restaurants near Boulder Co.... our Aperitivo restaurant hosts a Food Truck and Music Festival on Sunday evenings... we took our GV for the first time to use as a Green Room for the band tonight... the exterior and interior of this 33 year old FT coach kept inside storage by the Newman/Freeman Racing team is amazing...like new...... see you on the road ...
What a great looking coach!!
Is that a surfboard on the floor? Buy some Howard feed n wax and take that walnut to a new higher beauty level!
Will do... thanks for the advice. Looked up the product.. sounds great. It's a woven rug in the shape of a surfboard... kinda cool...
The whole outfit is kinda cool.
Sweet looking coach! We've got one of those real wood "reading lights" over the driver seat - looks like you have about a dozen of them!
Very cool, a well cared for coach ^.^d
I have 8 of those beautiful lights in my coach. I wonder if the safe was an option on the gassers. Might be some interesting stuff in there. My safe was empty and the PO of 20 years had no idea it was there.
Where was the safe located.... ? Maybe the money from the movie " The Sting" is hidden in this coach's safe.. LOL.
Normally in the closet floor. Pick up the caroet. I had forgotten that was a SBT (Side Bath Twin.) I used to stock a twin back then but the Freeman coach may have been an order.
I like the curtain you can pull across behind the front seats. We had one just like that in a '70 Cheevy van...helped to keep the meager cold air output from the dash A/C up front where you needed it when driving.
And the so-called "reading lites" are virtually useless as reading lights. I know. We have them in our coach and the light for reading is quite ineffective. I even converted one to LED using LED light strips. No joy.
Tried simple LED bulbs--the brightest I could find. The reflective inside of these wood lights isn't very reflective.
I use these Weanas 4x G4 Base 48 LED Light Bulb Lamp 3 Watt AC DC 12V/10-20V Warm White... (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J8C12A8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
What is that on the floor next to the trash can? I just have a hole there and one needs to know, at least this one does. 😊
That is the "salesman's switch".
Ours is located in the same relationship to the door.
Thanks for the information nighthawk. Mine is located with the batteries now (under the steps).
I for got mention, I do like the coach and the pictures.
Nice!!!!!!!!!!! I dig that surfboard rug, I assume it came with the coach from back in the day???
Very well kept and preserved oldie.
No surfboard in the carpet when I delivered the coach
One wonders how many other coaches this old one would like to own. This one for sure!
Keith
Your safe could be in the floor were the passenger/copilots feet would be, maybe covered up by the carpet, check the front wheel well for a long square box
When you say you delivered this coach??? Were you a salesman.? Where did you work..? In CA ? Tell us more... we are asked so many questions when we are in a gas station or our restaurant for the sunday music/food truck festival...
Pm Bob, he has a great memory. He pm me his phone number. Great asset.
I sold at the ca store from 84 to 86 then sales managed the store from 86 to late 89.
I sort of remember Freeman. I think I ordered that coach for him. Versus in stock, but we did sell quite a few rear twins and a few rear bath twins coaches. Flat floor between beds.
The safe is in front of the co pilots seat or in the closet floor under carpet in either location.
The closet doors when open latch into the opposite side to block the hallway. Sort of.
Replace the battery charger in the tank valve compartment if still the silver box mounted upside down above the valves.
It's waste heat helped the valves to not freeze but the single stage boils the batteries badly.
Valve under kitchen cabinet stove that allows or shuts off radiator water from the water heater.
A heat rod where the water heater drain plug is off 110 volt allowed quicker reheats or just ac water heating slowly.
Ask away.
