I am not affiliated with these guys, but they really helped me out a few weeks ago when I was in a bind and I wanted to return the favor via a recommendation.
Here's the back story. We were getting ready to leave for a few weeks in Colorado when I bumped in to Bruce Oliver, all around good guy and long time family friend. For years, he has been the parts guru at MOT. I was telling him my Dometic (which replaced the original fridge in my coach, so this was fridge number two) had stopped cooling. He showed me first hand what can happen if the problem was not addressed by directing my attention to the unit that had just suffered a fridge fire on MOT's lot.
I knew it would be impossible to get in for a repair/replacement before leaving on our trip with service appointments at MOT and FOT being weeks and months out. With the help of Bruce, Dave Whitehead and Seth Whitehead, they made it happen at MOT's "make ready" service department. I had a residential unit installed, and these guys really went above and beyond. Bruce went down to the local box store and measured every candidate unit that would fit. He called me with his recommendations on a Friday (he gave me a few to chose from so I could go put my hands on them) and by Monday afternoon, they were sliding the new refrigerator in place.
David did a multi-point courtesy check at no charge, and uncovered several items that I was unaware of, such as the ride height being slightly off kilter and a dead smoke detector that I should have been more diligent at checking. Bruce is a miracle worker when it comes to tracking down Foretravel parts. I was very impressed with their attention to detail, customer service, and knowledge. The entire service visit was completed with time to spare before we shoved off for Colorado.
The trio (Bruce, David, and Seth) have now opened their own service center, Nacogdoches Motorhome Service, on the south side of Nacogdoches just outside the loop. While I have not had bad service anywhere (FOT or MOT), working with these guys was a step above any visit I had experienced in the past. I am definitely sold on these guys for going above and beyond to make our Colorado trip more enjoyable, especially since I had already accepted the fact that we were going to be living out of ice chests for a few weeks!
Thanks for the tip on the new NAC service shop! Good looking fridge install. You will need a "keeper" on those doors to avoid the "flying food" syndrome. Here is one of several possible solutions: we made one that looks like a big horseshoe!

Your design is hard to beat! I purchased some "Soft Touch Velour Reusable Cinch Straps 1"x15"" from Amazon and they are great for the upper french doors, but does not solve the issue of the freezer door flying open. It will sure get your attention from the captain's chair when that happens! I'll have to come up with a solution that works for us.
I was hesitant about switching to an all electric fridge, but it is one of the best upgrades I have ever made. I have a freezer full of trout caught in Colorado, ice cream stays frozen, ice maker pumps out solid ice faster than we can consume what is in the hopper, and there is enough room in the fridge for a leftover pizza still in the box. The temp is constant and if I don't want to run the refrigerator off the inverter with the engine and generator off while stopping for a brief excursion, it has a "display mode" which allows you to essentially turn the compressor off so it's not pulling power except to run the interior lights when the door is open. Food stays cold for a while as long as the doors stay closed.
I am going to see David and crew for a ZipDee repair and may go ahead and do an MCD upgrade to the front windows. I'm nearly 20 coach bucks in to service, repairs, upgrades, and maintenance so far this year so the MCD upgrade may have to wait. Thanks for sharing your solution!
We had the Samsung installed and had the freezer door slide open once when turning. Ran to ACE Hardware the next day & purchased this latch which works perfectly. I screwed one side to the wall and glued the holder to the freezer door with JB Weld (if I remember correctly). Easy peasey.
We snap-button a strap around the top doors which has worked fine.
X2 on the sliding door latch - just don't drill into the door - there is a "vacuum" in the void of the door as insulation - if you drill into the door, you release the vacuum and the freezer is less effeccient - and it also voids the warranty on the refrigerator (so yes, I have no warranty - since I drilled into the door of my freezer instead of "JB Welding" it on - the correct approach - these work great, are tiny, and inconspicuous.

We used the sliding door latch, perfect, small out of the way, nothing to store. Use 3M VHB tabe to attach it tomthe freezed drawer. A simple 1" velcro strap has held our doors closed for several years now. Small, effective, nothing to store.
Enjoy the residential refrig. For us it has been wonderful. You might need to add another battery for unplugged overnights on the inverter. A small much more efficient inverter just for the refrigerator hels a lot.
