Wondering if anyone has mounted their GPS on the passenger side - using goose-neck or other device? Would like to mount our Rand McNally GPS on Carol's side so she can view the GPS while we are going down the road. She often works on her computer while we are under way and it would be nice to eye-mount the GPS so it could be pulled closer of pushed out of the way. Have not found one that that has a clean/nice looking mounting base that befits our Ol' Girl too. Have called FT parts but they were no help. Have also contacted RAM.
All thoughts would be welcomed.
I have a RM Overdryv 7. There is a mini HDMI port in the side of it that I connect to my TV using a mini HDMI to HDMI cable. Whatever is on the GPS is also on the tv. a small computer monitor would also work.
Not sure what other RM models have this feature.
We kept our old Garmin 1300 when we bought a Nuvi 50 (also Garmin)
The Nuvi 50 the DW and navigator programs our route on and has it mounted somewhat between us but closer to her. The old Garmin that I have mounted by the steering wheel she also programs for me but I mainly use it to "look ahead" for curves, speed limits, etc.
Hard to beat a Galaxy TAB S, S2 or an iPad for GPS. Nice big screen and you can send the audio to many car stereos via Bluetooth. RAM makes a lot of mounts for both models. Note that if you have an earlier iPad, you will need an external GPS receiver. A Garmin Glo is a good one. The aircraft model for about $10 more looks the same but updates 10x a second instead of every second. Lots of offline GPS apps available and many for free. Having access to both American GPS as well as Russian Glonass satellites makes driving in cities with tall buildings easy and the reception is automatic to receive both.
Mounts can bolt on to the wall, suction or lots of other options with many types of arms. The shorter the arm, the steadier the tablet will be.

Thanks for your input. Our RM is working pretty good. I am looking for a mounting device for a Gooseneck that we can attach to the wall next to the passenger's seat. Most bases that I have seen are pretty ugly.

I have only used one goose-neck and didn't like it. It moved around way too much. I'm using a small suction cup mount in the coach for my iPhone 6S Plus mounted on my side window. For Dori we have a large suction cup mount for a 10" iPad on the side window. Probably won't work in your situation with with a front entry door. For the car we have moved to a cd mount which I really like. It moves the phone off the windshield but is still easily visible.

I bought another one to use in the coach but the replacement cd player I installed in the coach has a removable faceplate. The cd mount could get good enough grip on the faceplate to work. :(
