Our coach has the "mouse fur" stuff on the ceiling. I don't know the correct name for it, but Airstreamers call it mouse fur. It is a carpet-like stuff on thin plywood. What should we use to clean it? A carpet cleaner works, but those are designed to be sprayed down, not up. We've tried various products over the past five years, and none of them are all that easy to use. Suggestions?
It is ozite carpet.
Thanks, Brett. I knew I had heard the proper name for it, but couldn't remember it.
Personally I think that "mouse fur" is very appropriate.
I have used one of the small pet clean-up units with heater. It's basically a mini carpet cleaner with a hand wand that sprays cleaner and then sucks it up.
The small hand tool makes it a bit tedious but does a good job.
I have used a Bissel carpet machine after pre treatment with Resolve on the area arrouns A/C ducts. Makes it look like new.
Or boat hull liner. It's real tough material.
Oreck floor vac with beater bar. A little awkward but leaves a clean white swath.
And it will work upside down? The ones I have seen would take a couple 25 year old body builders to hold it up on the ceiling! :o
Ozite is hypo allergenic. Used in hospitals
