ABSOLUTE AUCTION - 1986 Foretravel 40ft Motorhome - rvs - by dealer -... (https://gainesville.craigslist.org/rvd/d/absolute-auction-1986/6695800024.html)

Have an 86 GrandVilla. Would this not be an 85 ??? Was this model coach built after the GV was created ?
Dang! That old man had a BUNCH of cool toys! Would be a fun auction to witness - like to see what the coach brings.
Foretravel made both body styles during the change over to the Grand Villa at that time. Same thing during the change over to the Unicoach (buss front end) as they were both (Grand Villa & Unicoach) offered during that time.

I ' m probably going .
Would love to buy everything.. love that place its beautiful.. Spend the rest of my life sifting through it.. :)) ^.^d
We will expect a full report.
My Wife wont let me take any money tho. What rational do I have to bid on another Bus? help me out here. ..
Preserving a important historical artifact by keeping it out of the hands of people who do not properly appreciate Foretravel goodness?
Doing your part to improve the beauty of your neighborhood by importing a valuable work of art?
Thats a twin to the one I totaled. I loved it, some complained about it being underpowered but I drove it all over the US as did the PO and I was happy as a pig in ..... That 3208 is reliable and fairly easy to service. Major drawback is funky system to tighten drive belts, difficult but doable.

I have a friend going to inspect it this weekend at the preview, his report will make my decision as to my going from Texas to Florida for the auction. I'll report what he finds.

You Don't Mike. There is No Rational too it. It's cool as hell,But in Reality what would you do with 2 coaches? But doing what You do with your coach you have now ,It works great for you. This one has been garaged etc and well cared for But when would you have time to use it. Someone that will really appreciate it and use it as it was built for should buy it. Not that that person is not You,But What would you do with two coaches? Eeenie, Meenie, Mineey, Mo...... Use one the other one gets pissed off you know how that works... Use the Old one ,The new one has a flat tire,. Use the new one ,The old one splits a radiator seam.Back and forth.. You know the drill... dang machines.......smh.....Always fixing one.... never enjoying one........ 8)
That Stump guy is a funny character
His and hers isn't a rationale?
Digging those 30-30's
That's what a slush fund is for. Let's see $40 a week for fuel, Honey the company gives me a free truck to drive back and forth to work, you don't actually believe they would pay for the fuel also!! 8)
Drove alot of ORED ftx's. Hundreds literally. For 33 years ago it was good technology. Driveable
Makes me appreciate the 12 years later 40' U320 WTBI Unicoach with a M11 and disk brakes and the retarder and aqua-hot and ducted air and flat floor..........
Well. how does it look?
I have shop space for the parking but also could use a little more income stream ; I was looking at doing something like this;
GuestWings - Mobile Guest Suites - Tampa Bay (https://www.guestwings.com/)
What do y'all think this old coach might be worth, or might bring at auction?
Heck, when I saw the bid for $1 the DW said to bid $50. So I tried but the reply said it was a "live" auction and I had to be there.
Any body that is going to be there want to do the $50 bid for me?
There are some things I don't particularly like about the coach, but for $50 I think I could overlook them.
It sold today for $27,500
WOW, must have been bidding war
