I took off the remote start panel to do my insulation job. When I grabbed it to put it back in the air filter minder just kind of disintegrated. Does anyone have a source for just the filter minder itself without the mounting? It's the kind with the little yellow reset tang. I find lots of filter minders for reasonable prices but the only ones I see like this one come complete and run $75 or so. Thanks.

Have you tried Foretravel, shipping would not be much.
Not sure the style makes any difference. Most OTR truck parts houses have a verity of them for under $20.
Trying to get one that will fit the bezel properly for that stock look. I'm going to give MOT and FT a call and maybe just hit a few truck shops. Thanks.

MOT doesn't stock them but Foretravel does. Got one coming. Better price than the internet @ $53 including new hose and fittings. Kinda pricey but I like the stock look.
Also, wonder of wonders, Parts actually answered the phone!!! Brad is a good parts guy.

PS: Foretravel is officially off the sh*t list. They even stock those little Strut clips I was looking for and will throw them in for nuthin'! Now I love them again.
Yeah, Brad fixed me up with a new fuel sender lickity split. Had it the next day shipping was so fast. Called Centronics first but they said call Foretravel we have a hurricane coming.....
I found one on EBAy but no better price than what Foretravel is quoting. No luck with three different part stores, kept asking me for truck model and year.
My air filter minder from FT arrived yesterday just in time as we are leaving today. Nice little package that includes the minder, bezel & screws, fittings and 25' of tubing ($53). Check out the instructions regarding expected lifetime of air filters.

If those of us out here want to go by the minder I would reccomend replacing/and or testing regularly, just look at Mr.Beane's
post, his filter was about plugged up and the minder never moved,it only takes one dusting.
Air filter minders are easy to test-- and this should be done at least once a year:
Remove the hose from the air filter end. Suck on it. That should peg the vacuum reading and hold it until you release it with the button/arm on the filter minder. Reconnect the hose.
And, as has been discussed, restriction is just one reason for filter replacement. Most (just like with tires) will have their filter age out before plugging up. Yes, operating in the desert SW or on dirt roads a likely exception.
