The Winegard Trav'ler satellite antenna on the roof of my 2005 U270 would not retract as it should. I was getting "EL Motor Runaway" message on the interface box. After trying several troubleshooting recommendations made by Winegard Tech support, it was determined the turret assembly needed to be replaced. (I can tell you now the turret is the entire assembly minus the dish and the LNB arm assembly and weighs about 40 pounds). Because I was within the 2 year warranty period, Winegard sent the replacement at no charge via Fedex Ground. If not covered by warranty, the cost would have been $1000 for a replacement or $350 to rebuild the one you remove and send to them.
Today my brother and I made the replacement. We got it done in about 2 hours. The instructions included with the turret were well done, easy to follow. I think one trained tech with proper tools could do it in less time.
To summarize, if you are confronted with this problem, it is not as difficult as I thought it would be. Pick a good weather day. Use a rope to pull the assembly up onto the roof of the coach. FYI-You are not disturbing the baseplate of the mount assembly and are not making any new roof penetrations, therefore there is no risk of a roof leak.
Winegard tech support was very helpful. If you are not in a huge hurry, I suggest emailing them, start a case number, and communicate back and forth by email. If you call them, you will spend a lot of time on hold.
