Hello
Can anyone tell me how good is the The Cummins, In-Line 6 Cylinder, 4 Cycle, 450 HP Turbo Diesel That Along With The 6 Speed Alison... Currently I have a 8.3 Cummins with Allison 6 speed. Possibly moving to a different coach. This inline 6 should be more power
Are they high rev motors? I have never heard one run.
Thank you for any info.

My last coach was a Cummins ISC 8.3 liter mechanical 300 HP with the Allison MD3060
Now have the Cummins ISM 450 with Allison 4000 series (and transmission retarder). Love the ISM and Allison.
Too much...
We loved our 450 hp ISM ran about 1450 rpms at 65 mph A very smooth engine.
I was just telling Mel at MOT that our 450 has never come off of the full mark between oil changes. It has a little over 100k miles.
It is so smooth and quiet. I am big on torque and not big on RPM (unless it's an air cooled VW). The 450 is perfect in that regard.
Another plus is that they will run all day with no belts since the water pump and hydraulics are direct drive.
