Title: Joey bed both directions?
Post by: George and Steph on October 04, 2018, 07:54:43 am
Before I get into repairing something that isn't broken.  Does the Joey bed on a 97 270 open in both directions?  Slides out on the passenger side but not the drivers side.

My 1997 U295 slide tray also only goes out on the passenger side.  Reminds me of 50 yrs ago I was a service advisor when this customer brought in his new Buick.  He said this is the third time I've brought this in to get fixed, I've been to this other  dealer twice, he can't seem to fix it and a "I've had it with you Buick dealers".  Yes, the particular "feature" was not an even an option on his model.  Good qiestion.

Mine also only deploys one-way, on the curb side.

Mine has one on either side, I love them! That being said, anyone who does not walk around the coach at least a couple of times before leaving deserves the excitement of people pointing at you and making THAT GESTURE indicating something is not right in Denmark!

I have two Joey beds. The full width one goes out either side.

Ours extends both sides to ¾ full extension. I wouldn't want it any other way... ^.^d

Mine slides out on the driver side, But i've noticed bolt holes on the passenger side as well. I was guessing you could unbolt it and use either side!!!

On our 2000 u270 slide goes both ways but must be separately "latched and unlatched" by the handle on the side you want to extend.

I did hear 'Joey Bed' went out of business, so I'm very carefull with our's. I'm told the roller wheels can be gotten just about anywhere. Sure is amazing how much 'stuff' can be stored in them!  ^.^d

I know the U320 joey slide went both ways, but you have a lever to unlock to do so, that is if I remember correctly.  Been 12 years and I can't remember what was going on yesterday!  Duh! :o

Most go one way some go both ways and even fewer can be converted to go both ways. As with all things Foretravel. It depends.

Of course your right Mike.  It was early on and a move across the parking lot.  I do check my rig carefully before we run.  Appreciate the feedback.

I guess all are different mine goes out both ways at the same time. It has two that meet in the middle.
