Where is air value located for rear air bags located. I have a leak and want to replace if that is the prob. How do I dump all air before I replace. I had asked this in previous post but no ans and it was not listed as new. Newbie still learning. Maybe I have reached my quota for last 3 wks. Thanks
No experience with an 87, you should have an air drain valve in one of the tanks. Then dump your air bags with the suspension dump sw if you have one.

I think the reason your question has not been answered is we don't have many owners around here with your year/model coach, and the rest of us are not familiar with your air suspension system. I guess the '87 GV owners are all doing other stuff this weekend.
You could also try to clarify your question, if possible. When you say "air valve for rear air bags" it is not clear (to me) what you are asking about. Are you talking about the valves that operate your rear air bags? if so, you will have to provide more information on what air suspension system you have. Do you have a HWH leveling system panel?
If, instead, you are asking about the valve that you can open to release pressure from your rear air bags, then that is different. As Bruce said, you should have a water drain valve on each of your air tanks. If you open all those drain valves, you will completely depressurize your air system. However, your air bags might still retain pressure, even with all the tanks empty. In that case, you would have to use the "DUMP' button or the "LOWER" button on your leveling system control panel to release air from the bags.
If it's an ORED, both air tanks in front of the front axle have drains, rear axle has two ride height air valves, one for each side. HWH system will dump bag air once the Jack's are in down position to lower the coach before the hydraulic system starts leveling. My coach has an air Chuck and hose in the upper left corner of compartment in front of the entry door. Ride height air valves have a rod connect to the axle. Rear valves are mounted on the frame rails slightly in front of the rear axle.
I have heard that larger truck stops may have the valves in stock. I have heard the valves come in two flavors, fast or slow acting. I don't know which one for the coach. How fast do your tanks drain after shutting down the engine?
On our 84 ORED someone had put a solenoid between the ride height valve and the air bag on each side in the rear. When the ignition switch was on they allowed air to flow from the ride height valves into the air bags, but when the ignition was off then the solenoids did allow the air to leak back so the rear stayed up. That would be a modification that would be pretty easy to do.
I dont think that my HWH system is connected to my air bag system (88 ORED). The rear bags are as described above. My drain valves on the tanks will de-pressure the system but the front bags keep air .
My HWH dumps air from both it seems, but it's been a while. Front air solenoid valve is on the passenger side frame rails just back of fiberglass. Has a petcock on the outlet of the solenoid that's frozen in the open position. Seems like I seen the rear one but can't remember where exactly. It's in the coach house now, and I kicked the Jack's down but the two rear ones drop into the block out in the concrete floor for the future mechanics pit. Woops. Didn't think of that.
