When filling my coach the last couple of times, when the gauge shows that I am down to 5/8 tank, I have only been able to get 35-40 gallons in. I don't know if it is the sending unit which is off or the gauge. How can I determine which it is? Since I am planning on changing fuel lines out this winter, I will have the tank out most of the way, If it is the sending unit, what is involved in it being removed/replaced?
Thanks for the advice,
Larry

Also have diagnostics/adjustments on-line.
Also, beamalarm has the procedure. (fuel gauge (http://beamalarm.com/Documents/Centroid_fuel_sender_calibration.html)) I can't get used to the fact that the gauge on my current rig is accurate so I continue to carry the stick-in-the-tank solution which requires no calibration whatsoever.

Thanks. I will be researching this.

Larry, since your coach is pretty old, if the fuel sender hasn't been changed, I recommend it. Call foretravel parts and order the new one. I paid ~130$ with shipping and the motorcade discount. Working great and no complaints at all. Foretravel had it here in 2 days.
No problems changing it. Just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. They give you a new gasket as well, but you use the same screws. I didn't have to calibrate it but if you do its very easy.
Thanks Bob. It only makes sense to me while I will have things apart. Getting to old and tired to have to redo :))
