Title: 86 GV P 30 Brake Fluid Reservoir/ Master Cylinder ???
Post by: Subsilked on October 28, 2018, 01:14:42 pm
Took our RV out to winterize/dump tanks, check tire pressures and our " idiot" brake warning light came on....  brake pedal is soft... stops and can pump to get pressure.. but i cannot find the location of the brake fluid reservoir /master cylinder...

Any help on location would be appreciated...

The P-30 is a Chev/GMC platform, you might find a schematic on-line.

A lot of internet research and found the schematic for an 87 Winnebago with a P30 Chassis....  it sits between the drivers front tire and the engine manifold..  there is a heat shield there but either FT or Original owner (Paul Newman) cut an access square to get to master cylinder.    Watched a Winnebago owner wrestle with removing the heat shield to access the cylinder. . Glad our FT builders gave us some access...

Thanks.

Good deal! I just remembered our Airstreams had the same location, and a BEARCAT to check/add  fluid!
