Is this the correct thermostat for the 8.3 Cummins? (97 270) Also, is it worth it to buy the genuine Cummins over the knockoff? Thanks.

Just checked,that's the number I used,I would get the genuine Cummins part and make sure you have all the gaskets think there
are 2 you need.

T-stat seal #188318
T-stat gasket #3913025
T-stat outlet gasket #3913032
