Search for LED. Lots of posts.
The LE brand seems to be working well for most. 3000° K is a comfortable light color for most. Lights are cheap enough to try a strip of both and choose for yourself. I put my extra 6000° K strips in the basement bays.
Dimmers work well with any LED lights. We seem to want more light during the day and less at night.
Very nice high end one.

Solder your light strips for reliability.
You can change every light out to LED, more reliable and they use much less energy.
Skeeter, listen to the wisdom from above. I followed their lead this past spring. It was a fun project and the lights work perfectly.

Go to Amazon. Look up rv lighting for your particular Light housing. Go with the best reviews ( some lights have hundreds of 5 star). That's what we did and never looked back. We've only had trouble with one out of 18 puck lights and only that one because because some fool in the (Amazon) comments section said to "trim" the "prongs". so that they would fit better, wrong. That's the one we have trouble with.
I had some partial LED strips left over from other projects and used them in my fridge. The original incandescent lamp gave weak light and was not reliable, it would lose contact with the end connections. I simply wired the strips as per Roger's instructions and used double sticky mounting tape to attach the strips to the wall of the fridge. I soldered into the existing door switch. I now have nice bright reliable lighting inside the fridge.
I use the entire stock light housing , drill out the transformer rivits, and solder in the E bay LED lights.
3M tape them up as mentioned .
