Hello. Finally found a way to replace the original wiper arms...but after replacing turned on the wiper for driver side ( split windows) and wiper made two swipes and stopped. Pulled rocker button out of dash and checked for power, checked fuse for power, followed wiring thru dash to motor and found power... .. but no movement... any ideas ?
Is the blade fully seated onto shaft, ice or snow build up?.
All clear... nothing to block the wiper blade from moving. Wondering out loud if the motor was going out and the friction from the NEW blade rubber sent the motor into small motor death spiral. Will remove the new arm and and lubricate the post that comes thru the front cap and see what i get. We are just getting ready for our Thanksgivng road trip to Fredericksburg TX.
Checking weather forecast for the round trip 2000 mile trip and NO rain forecasted...
Yes, lube the pivot/ shaft area.
Then check the wires for power .There should be 3-5 wires ,one ground and the rest power. One of the power wires will be the "stop" / park, function. Run 12 v to the power wires and see what happens. Clean the ground connection where ever it goes. Most likely right on the dash metal brackets.
