1992 Foretravel Diesel - rvs - by owner - vehicle automotive sale (http://odessa.craigslist.org/rvs/d/1992-foretravel-diesel/6765166261.html)
Never heard of this one and no reference material I can find on Beamalarm. Wonder what CCC is? How can it be that much lighter than a U225 (22.5K chassis)-- has the same 36' SBID layout?
This is as close as I can find. I'm not a fan of the rear mount radiator. 70K is getting close to 'Leary's Law', which states: "at around 80K, and every 80K thereafter, most appliances are at the end of their service life, especially if they have not been maintained."
Mike,
Yes, but very different:
8.3 Cummins, not 5.9
22.5k GVWR, not 18k
22.5" tires, not 19.5
What you posted is the "normal" ORED.
I guess it could be a 'one off', but, WHY? BTW: craigslist gives me the heebie jeebies.
FED. Front Engine Diesel
Wall plate picture says 29 rear bath. 4132 build number. ,
Not the coach pictured
I noticed 6 lug wheels not 8 lug.
Brett, if you notice on the mfg plate photo it is a G92413229RBOFEDE16 which would be a
29 ft Rear bath with front engine diesel.
Last year I talk to John about the 29 ft coach. He also had the one that is pictured that is a 36ft
The 29 ft was sold to his brother-in-law. I should have bought it then but I had just purchased
the 99 U320. I will call John after lunch, what I think has happened is he posted the mfg plate of
the 29 ft instead of his 36 ft. will let you know what I find out.
Jimmy,
That would sure explain it. 18k chassis would probably be fine for a 29'. Not so much for a 36'.
If it is a "normal" ORED, it would have the 8.3 Cummins and ?leaf spring suspension? with rear radiator?
Talked to John, yes he posted the wrong plate, here is the one
Thanks, Jimmy.
Makes a LOT more sense!
Hopefully he will re-post the correct VIN plaque and chassis plaque.
Will have us a LOT less confused.
Brett, he said he would. The coach is located in Seminole, Texas
We have a 91 ORED with a 3208TA engine, side radiator. Does that mean that this is a special arrangement or just not as popular as with the Cummins eng.?? Thanks and have a great day ---- Fritz
