Hello, My generator sound matt has fallen apart. I heard someone say the replaced theirs with wisper matt any ideas on this? or what other owners have used
We used the Noico foil and the Noico sound deadener, availible on Ebay.
I did my generator compartment over a year ago, which required that I take out all the panels. This is the insulation that I used: SSP Foam Mat 1 thick by 48 wide w/PSA (per foot)-Super Soundproofing Store (http://www.supersoundproofingsales.com/SSP-Foam-Mat-1-thick-by-48-wide-w_PSA-per-foot/productinfo/09-42730-PSA/)
It has worked well.
I used Soundcoat. I bought it from Powertech but I don't think they carry it anymore. You could find it online though.

I used Thermo-Tec #14125 for 48"x72" @ $61. There are many threads on this job some of which go into great detail on different products with a wide range of pricing. Some cover the old insulation; some tear out the old stuff and replace; and others do a combination (me).
