Title: 24-36in Interior light housing or complete fixture.
Post by: Protech Racing on February 27, 2019, 10:46:15 am
I have exposed florescents, 36 in long,  up behind the drapes. Pretty useless as they shine on the backside of the drapes /header.
Does anyone have an extra housing with covers that I can mount under the cabinets and fill with LED s?

Or  has anyone installed one of these;  RV Cargo Race Trailer Interior LED Ceiling Light Fixture 12v 60 leds | eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/RV-Cargo-Race-Trailer-Interior-LED-Ceiling-Light-Fixture-12v-60-leds/331996356547?hash=item4d4c865fc3:g:-tYAAOSwv0tU6VKV:sc:USPSFirstClass!34604!US!-1:rk:1:pf:0)
 Thanks,MM

Hey Mike, I updated all my florescent lights to LED using the same equipment that was there. See the attached photos. I removed all the old ballasts and wires, then tied straight into the 12 volt system. Easy, but a little time consuming to do it carefully. I ordered the light strips on Amazon and they were pretty cheap. I ran two strips per light set, and wow what a difference it made. Very happy with the results.

I did pretty much the same .    I am 100% soldered tho. The issue is that I am missing about 4 ft of curbside housing, over my desk.
I ordered  a cheap LED housings and hope to get the LED strips into it.

The only fluorescence left  are behind the drapes. Stupid place for them IMHO.
