Title: Monitor wiring
Post by: Ghallid on February 28, 2019, 10:17:21 pm
Audit worked prior to my improvement so I'm feeling very confident there is a high probability we have operator error.
When replacing the old tube monitor with new camera (which is working great) I'm still having difficulty getting the audit to talk to the new monitor. When replacing the old monitor did your installation eliminate this contraption? When I installed the monitor I supplied 12v from the on/off switch, kept the selector switch in place to switch the audit for tank display but eliminated the brightness control knob for the old tube picture.

The new camera works on either cam 1 or cam 2 so I feel the monitor is working correctly.

Talked with Tim @ RVCams and he suggested I go direct from the audit to a tv. If there was no picture he felt it could be the wiring so just curious what others have done, so any ideas are welcome.

Maybe the best use of my time is to put in a new monitoring system since it probably will come to that eventually.

Yea, I just threw it. I also recommend throwing the Audit and going with SeeLevel or something. That's what I have done with other rigs. This one, for some reason, still has accurate tank readings so I'll wait until they falter to do away with the Audit box.
