Before I try and force anything, how do I access the bulb in this bathroom light? I'm "assuming" I pull the entire outer frame downward. No slack in the plastic cover of the light fixture to move it aside and out.
The trim piece is held in place with 4 cabinet door catches. Start at one end and pry it doen and the will pop loose. Be sure to mark which end is which to get it back on. The plastic parts sometimes break. It is a common catch.
Could be held up with Velcro also, mine are.
Velcro is a possibility. If it is use a thin plastic spatula to help ease it off. The big ceiling recess trims in our coach (and lots more) are held in place with Velcro.
Waiting for mine to burn out.. was wondering also.. Thanks again everyone.. ^.^d
Hardware store people call it a double barrel cabinet latch.
Thanks all. It was Velcro in our case. Used a spatula to help unhook the Velcro. Checked bulbs Home Depot on line and Lowes on line. Unlikely to have it. Bulb is approx. 16.5 in length, 2G11 base, 36 watt. More details on removed bulb: Energy Wise, FT36/830RS, 36 W2G11 3,000K 4 pin.
Ordered from Amazon: Sunlite FT36DL/835 Compact Fluorescent 36W Twin Tube Light Bulbs, 3500K... (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003RBFKT0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Ordered 2 to do both in same fixture. Thought about converting to LED which I have on hand. I've done one smaller fixture in LED, and will do more smaller ones as bulbs fail.
