Title: Just bought a 2000, U320 at Foretravel in Nacogdoches Tx Factory
Post by: Rdcd on April 07, 2019, 04:50:25 pm
Hi to all. This is our 4th Coach. We started with a 1995 HR Imperial. Then a 1998 CC Magna. Then a 1998 Prevost Marathon. And just bought a 2000 Foretravel U320.
We just drove it home from Foretravel it was a 1000 mile ride and the 320 was a pleasure to drive. The M -11 Cummins pushed very well.  We are new to Foretravel so I will be on your site regularly to learn and share any of my knowledge I may have to contribute. Thanks for having such a nice informative web site.

Welcome to the Forum!  You have experience with a variety of coaches and associated systems.  No doubt there is some commonality between brands, so much of your accumulated wisdom may apply here.  We welcome your input whenever you feel moved to comment!

Also, PHOTOS - we love to see photos of different Foretravel coaches, and other brands also.  We have a term around here for other brands.  We call them SOBs (Some Other Brand), so don't be offended if that acronym comes up in our casual conversation.

If previous coaches Cummins powered, you may already be aware, but if not, two other websites that might be of interest:

Cummins QuickServe is a very good deal cuz it is FREE and provides online access to a lot of good info about your specific engine.
All you need to join is your ESN (engine serial number).

Cummins QuickServe Online (https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html)

Cummins PowerClub is also a good deal at $20 per year.  Save 10% on parts and service at most Cummins shops.

Inquiring minds would like to know what made you give up the '98 Prevost Marathon, length?

My guess is floorplan, or wife wanted a slideout?  Or, sometimes the more simple, the better?

Thanks for the warm welcome and helpful advice.
Why go from a Prevost Marathon to a Foretravel is a question I was asked a few times.
The Prevost XL-45 was an amazing bus. We had it for 5 years and traveled 10s of thousands of miles throughout the US. Sold it 2 years ago and missed not having one. I have been intrigued with Foretravel and found this amazing 320 on consignment at the factory. We thought we were done with motorhomes but missed it. I had the XL stainless. The big difference in the Marathon and the Foretravel is the simplicity of the Foretravel vs the Marathon. All steel vs Fiberglass. All electric, series 60 Detroit etc, etc. I'll load picture's of my Buses. When I can figure out how.  The Prevost is a head turner for sure.
The cost to buy a same year of the two brand's is almost double for the Prevost. The Foretravel is an amazing coach and were proud to own it. This one is like a time capsule. Like as new. Thanks, Ray

We have owned many different motor homes, Marathon being one.  The main reasons for changing rigs are mainly financial.  Income sources change so do motor homes. We now have a 2002 U320 and are enjoying the experience.  Foretravel is quality.
