Title: Ride height difference from front to rear on 2000 U270
Post by: Flatfisher53 on April 09, 2019, 09:24:15 am
Just curious. I do have the green travel light on the air bag panel but I'm curious if the front of my rig should be higher in stance than the rear? And if not do I just adjust the arms of the height switches to make it level?

Use the search box at the top of the page type in "ride height" lots of information there. On level ground the coach should be level. You can also go to beamalarm.com and read up on setting ride height, before adjust it.

Thanks for the replies. And I promise I'll get better with this whole forum thing...Also anyone in the central Florida area that REALLY knows Foretravel and does inspections etc...I am moving very soon to Alaska and would love to have a pro go through this thing with me prior to this long journey.

Howdy Darren, I would recommended Ron (red tractor) here on our blog: http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1552
Or Paul Yasbeck in Leesburg,
Paul Yasbeck (Foretravel Savvy with multiple recommendations)

Highly recommended both of these techs,
Good Luck, Dave A

Adjusting ride height is quite simple and well covered in the links above.

Basically if a side in the back is low, LENGTHEN the rod connected to the ride height valve.

Adjust the front AFTER doing the rear.  Since there is only one ride height valve in front, set the "average" to spec-- one slightly high, the other slightly low. You can usually get it so both are within 1/4" of spec.

Thank you. I will give one of them a shout. Curious what to expect for a price on something like an inspection with a little familiarization instructional. I'm in Grant Florida
