If you have a radiator with a mechanical problem or rotten core, I've used this person twice now, the first time for damage resulting from too little anti-freeze, with good result.
Bob Rondeau's Radiator Shop
65 River Road
Bow, NH 03304
(603) 225-6000
His main business consists of repairing radiators for construction equipment, but he also did a nice job on the radiator for my motorcycle.
The last time I had something repaired was 2014.
I was way out in the desert once, installing an electric fan on my old 1981 Foretravel, and I inadvertently drilled a hole in the radiator. I then drained the radiator past the leak and repaired the hole with JB Weld. Worked like a charm.
Bob rodded out my radiator core, checked both oil coolers for leaks and re-installed the side tanks. Now the original problem was a side tank seam separation caused by "frost." I have the skill set to do the repair, but I am too old and infirm so I paid him to take care of it. He also flowed solder around all of the tubes, something he routinely does to new radiator cores for construction equipment to help re-enforce those solder joints.
Thanks I'll keep his number for when we go to Twin Mountain, NH this August, and hoping I won't need it.
Twin Mountain is pretty. Are you going to the Ham Fest?
No, we're going there to visit an old friend's (died last year) family at their reunion like we do each year.
He owned the Last Chance. Kids all went to Profile High over near you. Weekes is the name.
Oh goody. Another tourist in a motorhome in August.
I hope you have a good time. I'll be escaping to northern Georgia in August. Down here in south Georgia August is like living in a EZ-Bake oven.
