We have a leak in an airbag AYN1T15L
It's a Firestone. Does anyone know where I could buy one, or if there's a updated part number?
Thanks!
Susan
Try these guys, they had pretty good prices in the past.
Truck Parts & Trailer Parts - Pickup Truck & Trailer to Semi Truck (https://www.truckspring.com/)
Thanks!
The number you gave is for the bellows only.
For a complete airspring that's less $$ than a Firestone;
AS9448 by CONTITECH - CONTITECH AIR SPRING 64286/1R11-150/8563 (https://www.finditparts.com/products/7889630/contitech-as9448)
Susan,
When you get it, buy the nuts/washers as they don't come with any, just a protective vinyl cap. Might buy an extra in case one fails on the road.

You may want to change to the old caps instead of the new plastic caps. The Conti 9448 is a good number , used on mine also.
My husband replaced all the airbags but now needs 4 of the elbow air fittings as some were damaged in the process of taking them loose.
We checked Home Depot and Lowe's as well as Ace Hardware and cant find one to match.
Does anyone have a source or would foretravel have them?
Ours is a 1996 U280.
Thanks, Susan
Those are DOT fittings and not available at most hardware stores . You will be able to find them at most truck shops, NAPA truck parts, or a Parker hose/fitting store.
Mike
NAPA should have what you need ask for dot approved fittings
Thanks, we'll check there.
Does anyone know of difference in Firestone and Contitech as far as quality?
Thanks
Chris
I don't see any difference in the two except for the plastic lower mount on the Contitech.
I was just curious if anyone and ever cut old ones apart and look at build quality!
Like a Fram oil filter (and I'm sure others also) the Fram you get at auto parts store with same number is different than what you get at Wall-Mart. Some things where you buy and brand do make a difference

Contitech is Continental Tire AG, a top German company. Firestone is Bridgestone owned.
Don't buy Fram filters. Lots of better alternatives like Wix (NAPA Gold), Baldwin, Donaldson, etc.

If you take each bag off and fasten it securely on a bench, you can remove the air supply fitting without any damage. Don't be in a hurry! Use the correct tool for the job.

I stand corrected. I do remove the air stud from the bag before removing it. Still, it's securely in place so dealing with a moving bag is not a problem. I was thinking of removing the fittings on my old air dryer.
Thanks, Chuck.
