Title: Black tank flusher 2003 U320
Post by: Dick S on April 22, 2019, 09:38:16 pm
Has anyone pulled this tank flusher? We have only the black tank flusher and it is clogged. Tried feeding it vinegar through a short hose, ho help. Am wondering if this has a big loop that goes up to a back flow preventer? Seems like that would make pulling it out t clean it a major chore.
What should I do.....

Dick

Is there a check valve that might be stuck? Don't see how a flusher could get plugged up.

I have a black tank and grey tank flusher.. sprayer..You can hear the gray Tank walls being sprayed but not so with the black tank.. I can hear the water running into the black tank so I filled it half full of clean water and put some dawn down the camode hoping to give the sides whatever cleaning the sloshing will provide going to Nac Sunday. Not trying to hijack your thread Dick but we have similar questions..

Some previous threads mentioned ice cubes to loosen things up

Dick ask about removing the sprayer for inspection and maybe repair. Has anyone of you done that and can say what is involved in taking one out..

Well, don't know about the newer spinners but ours came out very easy. Three screws and scrape off the sealant.
Turned out a previous owner had glued the thing so it would not spin. Go figure!!
I put a new one in and now it works well. Not great, but well. Seems sometimes the 1/4 full sensor doesn't quit reading 1/4 full for quite awhile. Then, like it dries off a bit the 1/4 full reading disappears.

I have taken quite a few flusher out and cleaned them out. 3 screws hold it to the tank disconnect the water line at the flusher and then if plugged use fine wire to open the holes. Usually caused by letting the tank all the way to full before dumping.
