I love this cover! My Corian cover was cracked.
Thanks Keith!

You now need a nice tile backslash and take off that corian one. Do not go with busy pattern as it will distract from the new wood top.
IMHO.

That's on the list John. It's funny how one project leads to another. That Corian backsplash looks bad now.
A temp fix till a tile job would be some vinyl self stick wall paper.
I'm thinking about using these:
Amazon.com: Yipscazo Peel and Stick Tile Backsplash, PVC Rusty Slate Tile... (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0713MWRV7/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A4SFWMHMIOAQS&psc=1)(https://i.postimg.cc/MG9sx4Vg/Unknown.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
Sure going to get dark in that corner
No, that is too dark you need cream or light colour ones and I suggest using a "subway" style tile, but maybe 6" long by 3" wide. Put an accent line above first bottom row and it will look nice. Believe me as I have done many backsplash's in my life. Simple, clean looking and sets off that top.

When taking the corian off, go around the outer edge of the back splash with a utility knife. It will cut the paper behind the corian and prevent it from peeling all the way. The corian is glued very well and will come out in pieces.
