Finally starting to see some realistic asking prices for coaches. Perfect time to buy for that summer trip.

Facebook Marketplace is a great resource along with CL. This is how we found our coach.

Look for a coach that you don't have to spend money on. If you start planning to change or repair this or that, the price can get out of hand in a hurry.

Any coach this old will require a decent DIYer. If you can't do the work, consider motels instead.

I agree (to a point). When we started looking for this coach, I did not want a 'project', so I researched for a year to see what the 'going prices' were. This coach was the most expensive, but had a grip of paperwork that showed TLC. I have done very little to her, and my decision was correct. Little did I know, when I bought her, that she had belonged to none other than Brett Wolfe. THAT was (and still is) a BIG PLUS! ^.^d

Almost like having your own "on board" mechanic that knows your coach. ^.^d

That first one is a twin to ours. Same color scheme  as ours as well. Our main awning has "Foretravel" on it so i assume it is original. How can you tell if it is a U225 or not?

Cummins B engine, rear radiator and (though not mentioned) Torsilastic suspension= U225.

All are 36' long with two different floorplans available-- SBI and SBID. That one is an SBID (D=dinette)

I notice the later coaches have 'U225' or 'U240' on the stern, but our's does not. All you can do is find out the engine type.

Years of posting on ebay and looking on ebay I have found that misspelling a search word is a good way to find hidden gems. When I search Craigeslist/Market place/ebay try "Foretraveler" not Foretravel. Or Fourtravel or For travel or fortravel. Like Caddy/Cadilac/cadilak/. You would not believe the miss spells  :D

I guess facebook has taken over what used to be craigslist. Such a shame, facebook is evil (I don't use it) and I really liked the simplicity of craiglist.
