I bought a key FOB (Keyless Entry Romote Inc). It has the same FCC ID as the one that came with the coach, but now I need to program it. I found the attached directions on the Forum, but of course, our control unit is different (no yellow button). Has anyone reprogrammed their remote using this control unit? Thanks in advance for any input.
George
George, I have bought 2of the new fobs and programmed them. I am away from home till after lunch and will take a photo of the procedure

Ok here it is

One other thing is if you have a 4button one the top button is the lock one and bottom right is the open one. Take a picture of the fob so I can see if it is the same as I have
George, you may have to cut out that area on control unit marked with dash,s to access the button that is yellow and you press it to program.sorry forgot to mention that. Mine had a removable tape over it

I think the button is under the sticker. Been a while so just a guess
The bottom IS UNDER the dotted circle
The biggest thing that makes these old FOBs seem like they have failed is the spring and flat arm where the battery goes get corroded. Use the eraser end of a pencil and shine them up. It you take the circuit board out you can see the contact pads that it push buttons press on to make contact. Clean them off with an alcohol wipe and put a very light coat of electrically conductive grease on them. Reassemble. Our 18 year old fobs work flawlessly with some maintenance.

Thanks, guys for all the information. The coach came with one remote which had a dead battery and some corrosion. I used this stuff (recommended by Brett) to clean off the battery contact and I sprayed the circuit board for good measure. Found it at a music store in Nac... they use it on their amplifiers. Put in a new battery and has worked ever since.
As for the programming, I think Keith is right... just push the area inside the circle. No yellow button on this version.
Yes it is under the circle but am sure you need to take that away to reach the button. Yours will be the same as mine and the button is set back inside.
Why not program the original and new one so you have two
JohnH
Thanks, John. Yes, I plan to program both. It is sure great having a "sister coach!"
