Title: Switch close to power steering
Post by: bigfoot on May 28, 2019, 07:01:52 pm
What is this switch for. I flipped and it broke. Hard to follow the wires but is close to my power steering reservoir. Trying to send pic

Looks like an add on vs OEM  P.O. may have wired a light switch.

I have a switch for the reverse Horn beeper alarm. To disable it while backing into a queit campground.

I was thinking back to my 89. Not Oshkosh chassis but 3208.

Does the reverse beeper still work?  Check both sides with meter and see if it is off or on  .  My guess is beeper switch.

Mine still goes into annoying mode while backing, great in parking lots and busy places I will keep it as a safety device. I am guessing that switch was added by a PO to keep sensitive neighbors happy.

. John. There is a little leak where the nut attaches and I just had the new line put on. I guess I will add some plumbing tape too the joint. Too much of a pain to take back. The old fluid is from an old leak just have not cleaned it up yet

That is most likely the back up alarm as suggested so one less thing to fix or worry about. Now I need to find the switch for the eng bay light. I would appreciate some assistance. Thanks
