Need new fridge vent cover and microwave vent covers due to hail damage at Sturgis SD.
One cover has a hole, the other cracked. Temp repair with duct tape. I'll be searching older posts. Anyone have a good source?
Got mine on Amazon.
Amazon.com: Ventmate 65528 Polar White Direct Replacement Dometic Refrigerato... (https://www.amazon.com/Ventmate-65528-Replacement-Dometic-Refrigerator/dp/B0085IJVBI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&tag=foreforums-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957)
Any opinion if this one a direct fit? It seems from info at Amazon the screw holes should match, but perhaps slightly larger over all.
Amazon comments: between 2 bolts 21 3/4 x 4 1/4, Product 26.2 x 12 x 2.4 inches
Mine appears screw holes 4 1/4, 21 3/4, overall size 10 1/4 by 25 1/4
Had to drill new holes for mine.
Same part number as at Amazon (MFG. Part No 65528) here, and dimensions same as mine: https://tweetys.com/dometic-new-style-refrigerator-ventaspxaspx.aspx?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&scid=scbplp44848&sc_intid=44848&msclkid=12d691c29a1f10c0b272cd2dd1180378
Edit: I just ordered two from the Amazon link - delivery 4 June to my mail forwarder (we are about 25 miles away from our mail forwarder right now, so I'll pick it up 5 or 6 June).
Dan I used these
Amazon.com: Camco RV and Trailer Refrigerator Roof Vent Cover for Dometic... (https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00192KY22/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
They work fine and seem tough.
Roger
Just remembered, the new one sits a little lower.
Follow up. Installed the new vent covers (2 each) today. Old ones were very brittle upon removal (which is why the hail damaged them).
This was a "almost" exact match: Amazon.com: Ventmate 65528 Polar White Direct Replacement Dometic Refrigerato... (https://www.amazon.com/Ventmate-65528-Replacement-Dometic-Refrigerator/dp/B0085IJVBI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&tag=foreforums-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957)
The dimensions were identical, the screw holes left to right (side to side) perfect match, length ways the holes were off by 1/16" inch or less. I did get all 4 screws in without drilling new holes, just took some juggling the cover with all screws in but loose, and a very slight angle on last 2 screws each cover.
Came with new screws, but they were not stainless like the original. I used the original stainless screws.
