I'd like to carry some spare parts with me. Is there a comprehensive list of reasonable spare parts to carry with you. I've searched and and have not found it. I'm not looking to carry a spare air bag or alternator but small items that would get me off the side of the road quickly. So parts that are known to go bad, leak, etc that are good to have with you. I like lists of things to have. Thank you.
Complete set of oil filters and 2 or 3 sets of fuel filters, one set of air filters.A complete set of belts,a belt tensioner. At least a gallon of
oil,a gallon of 100% coolant. Many items depend on your skill factor and which engine and generator you have. For Alaska I took a
spare tire on a rim.
I agree with all the above but you might want to rethink that about a alternator. Sometimes people that can repair a Duvac alternator are few and far between.
Losing your alternator is not a emergency situation in a Foretravel. Simply crank up your generator, activate the boost switch, and get on down the road. We have had some Forum members run for weeks, and thousands of miles, in this configuration with zero problems.
Add to $15 D2 governener, , ride height valve. Wiring supplies and fuses. Windshield wipers, bulbs. keys, tools, 12 volt air compressor, safety gear to get under coach. Aluminum duct tape and nylon wire ties. Sense of humor.
Reading this has had me searching the forum for the last hour trying to find a really good spare parts list I saw a few months ago. Can't find it now and wish I could.
I know it included a "ride height solenoid" or whatever they are called for the air bag ride height, along with a bunch of other stuff I thought was useful.
I agree with all the above. In the same way that you can survive without an alternator belt you can also survive without a air conditioner belt. Just turn on your generator and AC.

Made it from Wash. state to SO tx with no alternator and no generator, charged the batteries at night.Add to the parts list the tools to install the new parts.
I would hasten to add a Air Dryer bypass kit to any list of spares. Also, I carry some spare air brake fittings and air line. Of course the tools to work on any of the spares you have with you. I store some rubber mats that I can put on the ground to crawl under the coach, frame blocks to make it safe to work under there. That is just for the chassis stuff, but I also carry some spare plumbing stuff and tools. These include a few short lengths of pex, a few valves, crimping tools, the pinch clamps, santoprene seals for the pex swivels, a spare water pump. It all depends on your skills, comfort levels, past experiences. Of course the chassis stuff to lower the likelihood of being stuck by the roadside takes precedence, but any water leaks or problems that make the water unusable can become mighty important when it happens in an inconvenient place and time. A lot depends on where you camp, and if you boondock much.

Well, that makes me feel better as I figured there must be one out there. I could not find it. A year specific and/or engine specific one with part #'s would be fantastic. Maybe as a Sticky post? Thanks.
Agree Chuck........ unless you lose an alternator bearing and need to remove the serpentine belt, which on my 8.3 drives the water pump also.
Here is a couple of the threads from a while back

OK...yes, in that case, more of a problem.......but NOBODY on this Forum is
that unlucky, right?
